CharityWe can put fundraising event details for those who would like to raise funds for us on the website with your event title and separate donation facility - this enables those who contribute via the website to allow tax to be reclaimed automatically on their donations which increases the benefit to the charity. We would be pleased to include a photo and a summary of the event on the website. If you would like to do this please contact us at info@pelvicpain.org.uk We would like to thank the Tropicana Club Dance Orchestra for supporting us at their monthly dances in Wimborne.
Women's 5km Run - Hyde Park, London. 7th September 2008 Thank you Judy, Anne-Marie (Chair ) , Julia and Jenny (Trustee) for participating in this fundraising event for us. Jenny completed the run in 36 minutes 52 seconds. It took a little longer for the rest of others but it's the taking part that counts. The fun atmosphere was enjoyed by all of us and we met some of our Olympians including Liz Yelling, a marathon runner who trains in the local area. The event was broadcast on BBC2 in the afternoon. Olympic 5000m bronze medallist Meseret Defar (Ethiopia) defended her adidas Women’s 5k Challenge, but failed to break Paula Radcliffe’s 14.51 course record. Defar, led from the start, and finished in 15.01 ahead of world junior 10,000m record holder Linet Masai (Kenya) in 15.31 and Britain’s Jo Pavey (15.32). Many thanks to everybody that has already sponsored us for this event and there is still time to donate to this event - by clicking on the 'donate now' button to the left.

Parachute for Pelvic Pain
The money raised from Steve's parachute jump has enabled us to add a message board to the website and host it for a year. Thank you. Saturday 1st September 2007 - Netheravon airfield, Salisbury Plain FINALLY SUCCESS!!! We set off for Netheravon very early morning on Saturday 1st September under clear blue skies. After a short wait Steve was kitted up and ready to go. A few clouds started drifting over but by 11am he was up in the plane and away. He tandem jumped from 12,000ft and had a beautiful view of Salisbury Plain. Supporters were there to cheer him on landing and supply a welcome cup of tea! Thank you to everyone who sponsored the event.
All Washed Out!! Having spent 12 hours driving down from Manchester through the flash floods of Friday afternoon (21st July), Steve arrived at the Netheravon jumpsite on Saturday morning feeling hopeful that the morning's sunny spells would hold. However, it was not to be - after the training was complete the grey clouds loomed ahead and all jumps were temporarily on hold. After a long sit-in in the canteen it was agreed that the weather was unlikely to pass and Steve and his supporters headed for home. We plan to re-attempt the jump on 1st September so there is still time for further donations! It is proving to be much more of a challenge in this unusual British summer!! We'll keep you posted......
Parachute for Pelvic Pain

He hopes that people will join him in showing their support by sponsoring this event. Money raised will go towards the development of this website as a resource for thousands of sufferers and their carers all over the world.
