Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome A study on the prevalence of prostatitis-like symptoms in a managed care population in the Pacific North West USA was published in the Journal of Urology in 2006. This population based study indicates that approximately 1 in 9 men have prostatitis like symptoms.
